Upgrade of Traveller Site given Go Ahead.

A £1.63 million upgrade of a Lincolnshire traveller site has been given the go-ahead. County council planners agreed the plans to upgrade the site at Summergangs Lane, Gainsborough, which will see improved facilities and security. The project has received funding of about £1.24m from the Homes And Communities Agency, with Lincolnshire County Council topping up the extra £390,000.

BEACHES along the east coast will be fully accessible to disabled people for the first time this year. {image1} Beach wheelchairs will be available for hire in Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea thanks to the East Coast Local Action Group. The introduction of the beach wheelchairs supports a series of improvement works along the coast as part of a programme by East Lindsey District Council, aimed at ensuring no one is excluded from taking part in activities because of their level of ability.
